Laila had her very first encounter with the sand today. She is 3 weeks
old and already getting started loving the Florida life! We had some
friends from Georgia in town so we joined them for just a short time at
St. Pete Beach to see how Laila liked it. Once we got there we went
straight to the water. I put Laila's feet in the water a few times and
she didn't even mind. Weird, because she doesn't like the bath yet. It
was pretty hot out so we didn't stay long. However, we did get a few
pics to share...
Watching Laila Lee Marshall grow up through weekly and monthly blog post. For family and friends far away to still keep a close eye on our little Laila Bug as she conquers and experiences so many new things in life.

First few weeks
In Laila's first few weeks at home she had many visitors. Between our church and my school, families provided dinner for us for 2 whole weeks! It was actually nice because not only did we recieve a nice home cooked meal during that time, but we also were able to have company and show Laila Bug off! It was a nice break for mommy too. It's a big change for me, being home all day again and not on the go with a classroom full of first graders.
Here are a few cute pictures we took through those first few weeks at home. They are not professional but still cute!

Homecoming
Laila had to stay in the hospital for a couple of extra days due to her taking some antibiotics. Once it was time to come home, we were so ready to get her! Christopher (Daddy) had to work but thankfully, Grandmama and Aunt Emmie were in town. So, we loaded up the car and went to bring Laila Bug home.
Laila has arrived
After a long awaited 9 months Laila has finally arrived! She was 7 lbs 9 oz, 20.5 inches long, dark blue eyes, and brown hair, born at 11:07pm on September 9, 2012. She has a little bit of mommy and daddy visible in her already. Her biggest feature so far.... those big plump CHEEKS!!!
Proud Mommy and Daddy right after Laila was born. :)
